Silhouette Obsessed

Several months ago I learned about a couple that lived in Arizona that was in a horrific plane crash. The husband was burned on 30% of his body and the wife 80%. The flight instructor, also on board did not make it. It was a miracle that they survived, especially the wife with the extent of her injuries. What made the story especially heart wrenching was the fact that this couple had four small children at home depending on them. One of the reasons I knew of this family was because they share our faith, and also because the wife, Stephanie Nielsen is an avid blogger and had become quite popular blogging about her everyday life as a housewife and mother. In reading her blog, I became so caught up in her life that I read just about every one of her posts and there were so many fun things she did with her kids, many I have now done with my own thanks to her example. One thing she does every April is create a new silhouette of each family member. I did these last October, which are nowhere near as amazing as hers, but I still love them. Then, just this last week I got the bug again and made these coasters for my mom, and this family silhouette that turned out much better than expected. It's a bit of an obsession now and you'll just have to wait and see what I can make a silhouette out of next:)

I really like the family picture like that. So cute!

Hey, with the gardening thing, I went to I think it's called Stradler or Stadler nursery. It's on the 28 just after you left onto 28 from Linton Hall. They were really helpful. Good luck with yours!

I love the family silhouette! I make them for my preschoolers each year and have been looking for the perfect frames to do a wall of silhouettes. Now, I just might have to do the family. I love it!
