Preschool Graduation

For two, wonderful, memory filled years Cameron has been attending 4 R's Preschool. I simply can't say enough good things about the little house that has been a preschool institution for 26 years. His was the final graduating class from the 100 year old home, as they will be moving into a different house in the fall. The teachers he has had have all been absolutely superb, wonderful women that genuinely care for each child and after two years, they almost feel like family to us. On Friday, Cameron had his performance and graduation and he was the star of the show! In addition to the four parts we had practiced at home, we were surprised that night to see that he also had quite the singing role. He sang at the microphone while the rest of the children joined in behind him, and he definitely stole the show with his charasmatic delivery. They performed The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Cameron was the swiss cheese. I couldn't help but think about how the story related to the kids. They all came to 4 R's as caterpillars and are now entering the world as butterflies, with the knowledge and skills they learned in preschool. After the performance, the kids all changed into their graduation gowns and were presented with their diplomas. I simply couldn't hold back the tears! My little boy is growing up and I can't believe he will be starting kindergarden in the fall! It was an emotional night, and it was hard to leave knowing that Cameron would never be going back. Cameron didn't seem too sad, in fact he had a huge smile plastered all over his face for most of the night, I think because he was so proud of the job he did. We sure are proud of him too.

Aren't you just so happy about your little cheese? Hopefully he doesn't grow up to be the "Stinky Cheese Man"! You and Robyn have me convinced that it has to be the best preschool around. Congratulations Cameron!
